Vivian Lai was the winner of Singapore Star Search '99 and the All-Asian Star Search ‘99 champion. Her sweet appearance and great eloquence,  had won the unanimous favor of the referees. Optimistic and enterprising about life, she was a student before joining the showbiz in Singapore. She has genial on-screen charisma, and her stardom is no surprise.

Her debut drama "Knotty Liaison" had left a deep impression on the audience. Later, her performance in "Adam's Company" also won the appreciation from the audience and gained an excellent reputation. Vivian Lai, who can act and host, won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Red Star Awards 2012 for "Love Thy Neighbour". In 2014, Vivian Lai won her Tenth Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste Award, and in 2015 she was listed among the "All-Time Favourite Artiste".
